How to Download Thumbnail From YouTube (vidIQ Tutorial)

 

Welcome to this quick guide where I'm going to show you how to download a thumbnail from YouTube.

The easiest way I've found to download YouTube thumbnails is by using the vidIQ extension and in this guide, I'll show you how to download and install the vidIQ extension so you can download YouTube thumbnails.

Step 1: Install the vidIQ Extension

1. Go to the vidIQ extension download page, which you can find by [clicking here].

2. Once on the vidIQ Extension web page, look for the "Install Extension" button and click on it.

3. You will be redirected to your browser's extension page.

4. Click on the "Get" button to initiate the download.

5. When prompted to add the extension, simply click on "Add Extension."



Step 2: Set Up vidIQ

After installing the extension, follow these steps to set up vidIQ:

1. You'll be prompted to sign in to your vidIQ account, if you don't have one yet you can create a new account by providing your email address and a password for the vidIQ account or you can simply sign in with your Google Account.

This is completely FREE.



Step 3: Download the Thumbnail

Now, let's download the thumbnail:

1. Open any YouTube video.

2. Look for the vidIQ tab next to the video. If you don't see it, click on the drop-down menu next to the vidIQ logo.

3. Inside the vidIQ tab, you'll find various statistics related to the video, including the thumbnail.

4. Click on the thumbnail image in the vidIQ tab. This will open the full thumbnail image in a new browser tab.

5. Right-click on the thumbnail image.

6. Select "Save Image As" from the context menu.

7. Choose the location on your computer where you want to save the thumbnail.

8. Give the thumbnail a name. For example, you can name it "thumbnail."

9. Click on the "Save" button to download the thumbnail.



Step 4: Access Your Downloaded Thumbnail

Once the thumbnail is downloaded, you can easily access it on your computer:

1. Navigate to the location where you saved the thumbnail.

2. Locate the thumbnail file and double-click to open it. You now have the thumbnail saved on your computer.
